Biography:
Yuchao Dai obtained his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2005, 2008, and 2012 respectively. From 2012 to 2017, he conducted postdoctoral research and served as an ARC DECRA Fellow at the Australian National University. In 2017, he was awarded a national youth project and joined the School of Electronic Information at Northwestern Polytechnical University. His main research focuses are in the fields of machine vision, intelligent perception, image processing, and artificial intelligence. He has been involved in various scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China's face-to-face projects and the sub-projects of the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 "New Generation Artificial Intelligence" major research plan. He has also received international academic awards such as the CVPR Best Paper Award. In April 2021, he was appointed as the assistant dean of the School of Electronic Information at Northwestern Polytechnical University.
